The school is once again running a collection for Team Hope's Christmas Shoebox Appeal. If you would like to give a gift to a child this Christmas, please donate a shoebox gift to the appeal. Often these shoebox gifts are the only gift that a child will receive at Christmas and the joy that they bring is incredible.
Leaflets, with instructions, are available at the school and at Doohan’s Foodstore, Kildysart. When you are ready please leave your parcel at the collection point in the school or in Doohan’s Foodstore by 10th of November. Thank you. @teamhopeireland ... See MoreSee Less

Yesterday, TYs got the opportunity to take part in a forensic workshop led by Rita from Forensic Fun based on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, a crime that has many unanswered questions.
Students got to examine ballistics, fingerprints, facial recognition, autopsy, trace evidence, virtual reality, board games to work out the timeline of events to see if they matched and pick up and examine replicas of guns. They explored the main theories around Lee Harvey Oswald and the other key men and theories connected to the case, Kennedy autopsy and the official Warren Commission report. Students finally had to decide based on the evidence if the official decision on JFK's assassination is what they agreed with.
